MCB (miniature circuit breaker) is an automatically-operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and immediately discontinue electrical flow. Unlike a fuse, which operates once and then has to be replaced, the miniature circuit breaker can be reset to resume normal operation.

Rated voltage Rated operating voltage (Un), rated insulation voltage (Ui) and rated pulse voltage. The rated operating voltage of the circuit breaker is the voltage value associated with the breaking capacity and the use category. For AC multiphase circuit finger circuit voltage. Rated insulation voltage and rated pulse voltage together determine the insulation level of the switchgear.
